I have been a professional artist since 1991. In the beginning I enjoyed working in watercolor, but it wasn't long before I had my hands in clay, finding I really enjoy sculpting. Later I knew I had to try oil painting, and along with sculpture, they are the two media I have worked in for many years.

My bronze work is primarily sporting art and wildlife. Sculpting the human form in the outdoors - bird hunters, duck hunters, fishermen - allows me to tell a story with my sculpture. What I truly enjoy is the challenge of making the viewer use his or her outdoor experiences to complete the work, to remember it all - the sights, sounds and the smell of the outdoors, without a landscape completely sculpted into the piece.

Painting in oil is another way I express how I see things. In addition to sporting art, gundog portraits, game still life, and marine life, I also paint landscapes, specifically rivers, streams and meadows.

Over the years my work has appeared  in several outdoor publications including Gray's Sporting Journal, Anglers Journal and others. During the early part of my career, my work helped raise money for the construction of the Education Center at the Texas Freshwater Fisheries Center in Athens, Texas, Texas Ducks Unlimited, and other conservation organizations.

I am so fortunate to do something that brings me such joy. I am honored that my work can be found in collections throughout the world.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST IN MY WORK.
